I was stupid enough to deposit some money in GFB company. Now I read an official warning from our financial authorities (Latvia), it were mere scam and NOT to do anything with this company. Since I don’t find the WHOLE transactions history, I get the opinion – yes, I’ve been scammed. Keep away from GFB (note – GFBroker; GFBrokers is another company)! And my condolences to fair office-workers who might be there, too.

    Hi All,
FTO Capital is definitely a SCAM, do not trade with them. Through one of their mistakes with documents, I found out that are a sister company with FM-FX Trading, you can search the net for scam brokerages. They did bot disclose this, particularly when one of the brokers got into my system and saw an open account platform for FM-FX. I was told my the broker that he didn’t know anything about FM-FX, that FTO had nothing to do with them and would never be affiliated with them. A couple of days later, after finding out that they were sister companies, I put it to them and they whole heartedly denied affiliation, even after I has a conversation with FM-FX, who confirmed it. I was then put onto the complaints manager, who blatantly denied it, and then admitted that the affiliation was confirmed by my sending the FFM-FX email to them. The female complaints manager was rude, arrogant and hard to understand, as her standard of English was very poor, about what you would expect from a bar girl in my opinion. Not good when she is dealing with a high percentage of English speaking clients. She then sent me an email on a Tuesday, declaring that I needed to cease trading within 5 Business days, on the Sunday. Obviously had no idea of the market only operating on week days, or just couldn’t count. I sent a reply to her telling her that the Next Tuesday was the appropriate date, but FTO shut my trades down on the Monday night without telling me, where I lost around USD$4,000.
They will lie and scam as much money out of you as is possible, and get very sulky when you wont keep adding funds. Smart people would have nothing to do with them. Even when you make profits on trades, they will ignore, and not pay back the withdrawal requests that you submit. They are not registered, very dishonest, and will start a screaming match over the phone with their clients to try and get their way. Don’t touch them, don’t sign up with them or give them any money, they are scam artists of a high degree

    SCAM ALERT!!!!

    Hi everyone,
I received an email from FTO, im not really sure how they got my email address, but having said that, I have been researching Bitcoins & crypto currency, so perhaps somewhere along the way they were able to obtain my email address from where I have been searching. ???

After reading the initial page, I figured, what do I have to lose? They suggest that you withdraw your first deposit of $250 within 24 hours. Wow, they are offering me an investment worth over $5000.00, for an initial outlay of $250.00, of which I can withdraw within 24 hours and keep the initial investment. Win Win… Or to good to be true?

I started to read the terms and conditions, I didn’t even get half way through the terms and conditions, and my phone rang. I answered it, it came up on my screen that it was from Sydney. I could hardly hear this voice that was foreign. So she said she would call me back. She did call me back, and then it came up that the call was from the UK. This time the line was extremely crackly, I told her that I still couldn’t understand what she was saying. BUT, I could hear her repeating…hit the accept terms and condition button. I refused as I had not read all of the terms and conditions. She repeated to say please hit the terms and conditions button. I kept saying no, as I haven’t read them all and that the line was to crackly for me to understand everything clearly that this foreign voice was saying. I asked her to call me back on another line, which she did, this time it came up as a “no caller id” Alarm bells were ringing for me, as she asked me what Bank I am Banking with. I told her that this was none of her concern. She then said that’s fine, please hit the terms and conditions button, alarm bells started to ring for me as I was not able to read the terms without the pressure of these phone calls telling me to do so.

She then said that she would send me a direct link via email and told me to refresh my email so that I could go in and immediately hit the ‘I agree” to the terms and conditions. Whilst she was telling me this, I quickly did a google search on ( is FTO A scam) Guess what? Google is unbelievable 🙂 I read to her exactly what was on the page in front of me. She said it was competitors. i then read her all of the complaints, she quickly said that she would call me back in 3 minutes. That was over half an hour ago.

Moral of the story, computers are amazing, when feeling pressured, and not even being allowed the time to read the terms and conditions, quickly google the company you are dealing with, just tell them you are trying to find the button that they want you to click on. DO NOT CLICK I ACCEPT!!!!! Then block all of there emails.

THIS COMPANY HAS SCAM WRITTEN ALL OVER IT. Do your homework, and keep your money in your pocket!!

I put in US250. Built it up to US1200+ By the sound of all the comments here, I may as well kiss goodbye to that money. Has anyone received and money back from them? Ever? I’d like to know this. And how do they get away with it.? I knew they were dodgy when the broker they assigned,
    Dwayne Cutler
    Senior Account Manager
    http://www.ftocapital.com
    UK +442080682565
was extremely pushy in trying to get me to deposit more. (Which I don’t have) He even suggested that their company could organise a loan at ‘very attractive rates’. I bet they could. 🙂 I haven’t tried withdrawing from this mob yet. I’m not sure it will be worth the hassle. Seriously, HAS ANYONE BEEN PAID YET? Anyway, for someone who knows absolutely nothing about the stock market, it’s been a steep learning curve. I’ll do it all again, but I will go with a tried and tested registered trader and set up a dedicated trading account.

Well I rang FTO ON 02 83798070 its a sydney Australia number but they are based apparently in London at a call center . I am from Perth Western Australia and talked to the FTO supervisor named Ross Green and went crazy at them for about half an hour reckons my daughter made $1000 profit over night and needed a bank reference number so they can transfer her investment and what she made on top of that into her account well she is doing that ASAP and we will see what happens .Will update when and if she gets her money back sadly i have my doubts .

  • Ian Tuddenham

As an update to my saga, after losing around $6,000 due to FTO closing my trades prematurely, I get a phone call from Lori Morgan, who now signs her email off as a Complaints Administrator, saying she doesn’t know who the female FTO employee was that spoke to me previously, but the company wants to finish communications in a proper manner. She stated that if I signed an agreement, the company would refund all of the money that I had deposited in the first place. They did deposit the money left in my account, and the remaining USD$2600 was to take it up to my initial deposit amount. I read the agreement and it was hush money, I had to agree to take down any comments that I had placed in any forums and show them proof that I had deleted the comments, withdraw any complaints that I may have taken with any law enforcement or statutory bodies and tell everyone that the matter was resolved satisfactorily. I went back to them stating the agreement was unsatisfactory, that I didn’t know how to delete comments from the one forum that I had posted on (which I don’t) and that I didn’t know if I wanted to as nothing malicious was placed in the comment and it was all factual. I then reminded them of the introductory video for their trading in which ‘Jake Pertu’ offers a challenge that if you don’t have hundreds of thousands of dollars in your trading account within 30 days, he would give the person $10,000. I told them that I had not seen any such amount in my trading account and told them that I wanted that $10,000 as well. In the video, Jake states that he has never paid out $10,000 to anyone, now I know why. Unfortunately, now they will not answer my emails from me, which was to be expected. They are a scam and are fraudulent in their dealings. I am considering some sort of legal action, is there anyone out there that has been scammed that would like to join in an action against them if I do some research and find a solicitor willing to take up the challenge??
if so, please contact me and send me your account about how you were scammed and how much money you lost.

Yes – look out Australia – Good Luck trying to get your money back from FTO – i am not having much luck. What annoys me is why the Australian Government is not protecting Australians from such sites, may be the web browsing police are too busy . The FTO phone operators are rather “calculating, well trained, and smooth” – very good at their job of getting money out of you.
1/ Be very careful of the “KYC” documentation you have to provide – (google KYC – it is an international protocol where you provide documentation to trace money laundering and illegal activities etc) The documentation in FTO hands could well be being on sold for prime dollars for Identity theft – and the information FTO are asking is
A/ color scan of your passport.
b/ color copy of your driver licence.
c/ color copy of your power bill
d/ color copies front and back of your credit card / debit card
Don’t know about you – but I question that information in the wrong hands here in Australia here might well see your bank accounts cleaned out, maybe loans set up under your name, few grand on your credit card etc etc – may be even a “police swat team” at your door one day because your details got mixed up with some bad overseas organisation. (Don’t forget _ police always shoot you in the head or chest, something to do with “dead men can’t talk or sue” – mind you, if FTO have taken all your money – “dead” might be an option.

FTO are so good at their job they will get you to link your computer with there computer so they can show you how to work the metatrader site and FTO site. Once they are in your computer , well I was, asked to take FTO into my bank accounts so they could see my so called “financial position”. I did not allow that – not that good lol – but I new that was not correct.
FTO will keep asking you for money – in the end it became a game with me – let FTO think you have more money and – what ever value you said, that was what FTO need to “MAKE YOU MONEY” . So – I played on this with FTO thinking they could get more monies. FTO would spend hours on the phone with me trying to get it . I am sorry – but really !, hours each day ?
Question – if I was the FTO person spending hours on days with me – I would just have to be thinking – “why don’t I invest my pay pack in FTO instead of coming to work each day for FTO”.
    ………………………………………………………….

Last I say – I would be worried about the identity theft as well…

  • Barry Hammond

Hi I have been getting calls from the same people they are very convincing But I hesitate to take action with them. Have you had any further luck with them.

    • Evelynne

No, they don’t reply to any of my e-mails. I am pretty sure that I can say good bye to my money. What ever you do, don’t deal with them!! One day or at night before you go to bed, you still have your money in the “Balance”, by next morning there is nothing there, eventhough they insist that the “Balance” is not going to change even if the shares go up or down, until I close the trade, which I didn’t for that particular reason. They did it FOR me!!!

  • Charles

    Monday 6 nov
Well LORI MORGAN rang back this evening talk to my daughter and said because she signed a contract it was said and done but she was told by a certain ZAC HILL (SO CALLED BROKER )that if she did not sign this agreement she would not be able to get her money LIES she basicly signed her money away.LORI MORGAN offered her $1000 refund
which she said no she wanted her full refund and thats where LORI ended her conversation but a little later she got an email from LORI saying that they would refund her 0nly $1300 as a gesture of good will from the company well i told her take the money and close ther account well we shall see if she really gets the money ???

YES WHY is the Australian Government letting this happen Maybe A Current Affair or 60 mins should be notified

  • Vicki

Oh damn. I let them max my credit card to 10,000 I am showing a balance of 11000 now as sold a few of them and made the 1000 but after reading all these I guess Im not going to see a cent of the 11000 back into my account sucked in well and truly

  • K Macaw

My update from my earlier post of 8 days ago – I got my money I invested back ?. After – in no uncertain terms I described the action I would go to with FTO.

I made profit – didn’t see that back – just happy to see my funds I put in returned.

Trying to get my head around the post below from “Charles” – struggling to grasp how a “signed contract” got involved, noting Australian’s consumer law, and what sounds like the broker took control of the funds on behalf of Charles daughter. Understanding myself that these FTO brokers (and there are multiple) are shifty.

Don’t risk your money with overseas outfits – Australia has the same systems & brokers in place to make money.
Up to you – be it Australia or OS – I would not let a broker have control of your funds to gamble ! I made money placing my own transactions – I did not loose.

You Can make money and have fun – but If you want to give money to a broker to play with where he is in control – good luck

    .

    • Charles

unfortunately she knew nothing about these SCAMMERS if she had only consulted me i would have researched them . she believed the broker and did what he said some senior accounts manager named ZAC HILL .I rang them up several times sent emails but nothing so far Good as Gone
