Fake TikTok Traders

Many South African’s get involved in Forex trading & investing, because of a trader they found on Instagram. Fraudsters create fake Instagram profiles, and display a high rollers lifestyle, which they claim comes from their success in Forex trading.

Before following one of these traders, you must know that the people running managed account schemes are very often frauds! They are setup as Introducing Brokers, and many of them will profit off of your trading volume.

First thing to do, is educate yourself about day trading, and then look into Copy Trading at a regulated broker like CMTrading.

Is Vault Markets a Legit Broker?

Yes, because Vault Markets is technically owned by 1st Fintech Capital (Pty) Ltd, company number 2020/936466/07, which is regulated by the FSCA in South Africa, with license number FSP 51478.

Previously they were owned by a company called Egoli Forex (Pty) Ltd. It gets more confusing when you read their terms and conditions page, you will see: “VaultMarkets, a product of 1st Fintech Capital (Pty) Ltd, is the platform that Clients use to trade derivatives that are issued by Karibu FX Financial Consultant Services Pty Ltd, a company established and operating from the Republic of Namibia, with company number 2019/0459 and registered address No.12-14 Haddy Street, Windhoek West, Windhoek, Namibia.”

This is similar to the arrangement that Trade245 offered their clients. So if you are trading with Vault Markets, you are actually trading with Karibu FX, and your customer agreement is governed by the laws of Namibia.
